About IGFOA
►PUBLIC SECTOR MEMBERSHIP
Public Sector Membership is open to government finance professionals or other government employees representing villages, cities, townships, counties, park districts, library districts, fire prevention districts, state government, special districts, retirement systems, schools, colleges and universities.
Membership in the Illinois GFOA can help you - as an individual responsible for government fiscal policy and management - to improve your knowledge, skills and performance and share resources with peers in other governments. Public Sector members are required to adhere to the GFOA Code of Professional Ethics. The Illinois GFOA and our members rely on mutual support to meet the ever-evolving challenges of government finance. Our staff and extremely active committees work together to plan, develop and administer services and programs in career development, technical assistance, publications and training. The Illinois GFOA also represents members' interests before the Illinois General Assembly.

Finance professionals who provide services to government entities are eligible for Associate Membership. There are two categories: Sponsoring and Individual.
Sponsoring firms are included in the IGFOA Web site Financial Services Guide (available to the public) and may list under multiple service categories within the IGFOA On-line Membership Directory. Each member included in the Sponsoring firm will have access to the On-line Membership Directory and may send individual and broadcast e-mail messages to other IGFOA members, initiate searches for groups of IGFOA members, download the directory, print a directory and prepare mailing labels. Sponsoring Associates are recognized as Featured Sponsors of the IGFOA Annual Conference. Sponsoring Firm members also receive discounted seminar and conference fees, and an IGFOA chapter membership.

Individual members will be listed and will have access to the On-line Membership Directory. Individual members may use the directory to e-mail individual members, initiate searches for groups of IGFOA members, and print a directory.
