►PUBLIC SECTOR MEMBERSHIP
Public Sector Membership is open to government finance professionals or other government employees representing villages, cities, townships, counties, park districts, library districts, fire prevention districts, state government, special districts, retirement systems, schools, colleges and universities.
Membership in the Illinois GFOA can help you - as an individual responsible for government fiscal policy and management - to improve your knowledge, skills and performance and share resources with peers in other governments. Public Sector members are required to adhere to the GFOA Code of Professional Ethics. The Illinois GFOA and our members rely on mutual support to meet the ever-evolving challenges of government finance. Our staff and extremely active committees work together to plan, develop and administer services and programs in career development, technical assistance, publications and training. The Illinois GFOA also represents members' interests before the Illinois General Assembly.
