Accounts Clerk - Utility Billing | Village of Carol Stream

The Village of Carol Stream Finance Department is seeking a motivated, service oriented individual to provide full-time office support in the area of utility billing. Responsibilities include monthly water and sewer bill processing, customer and meter file maintenance, payment management and application, detailed account analysis, heavy customer contact, and other related duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail along with the ability to multi-task.
Qualified individuals must possess the following:
- High school degree, or equivalent supplemented by training in office skills and/or general business courses.
- 2 years of professional office experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ERP systems,
- Strong customer service skills, with experience that demonstrates the ability to resolve customer issues.
- Prior service in utility billing is desirable, but not required.
Starting salary for this position is $58,735.32 to $63,250.00 depending on experience and qualifications. Excellent benefit package provided, including health (80% employer paid), dental, and life insurance, as well as IMRF pension system.
