VILLAGE OF OAK BROOK SENIOR ACCOUNTANT (FULL-TIME) 

The Village of Oak Brook (pop. 8,163) is located 15 miles west of downtown Chicago.  Home to residential subdivisions, the Oak Brook Center Mall, office and retail locations, restaurants, and numerous corporate headquarters, Oak Brook boasts a wide range of business and recreational opportunities in a premier community.

The Village of Oak Brook Finance Department is seeking to fill the open position of Senior Accountant.  Under the direction of the Finance Director, the Senior Accountant position is responsible for a variety of traditional accounting functions while providing staff support and process improvement. The Senior Accountant fills a vital role in supporting overall daily operations of the Finance Department goals and objectives.  

The successful candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience in all phases of accounting with 2 or more years governmental fund accounting experience in a municipality of a similar size.  Must possess a four-year college or university degree in accounting or finance.  Demonstrated experience implementing processes and supporting co-workers through change is required.  Familiarity with Tyler Munis/ERP is highly preferred.
