Under the supervision of the Administrative Services Director, the Accounting Manager position oversees the day-to-day functions of the accounting and financial reporting division of the Administrative Service Department. This position completes a variety of accounting responsibilities, including completing journal entries, generating year-end reports, preparing materials for the annual audit, completing bank reconciliations, filing payroll related reports, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position oversees the payroll and accounts payable functions of the Village and provides management support in the absence of the Utility Billing & Customer Service Manager and/or Director of Administrative Services. This position requires attention to detail, clear and consistent communication skills, dependable organization skills, and an ability to analyze financial information. Experience with Tyler New World a plus.
Qualified applicants must have a bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in finance, accounting or a closely related field and a minimum three years of related accounting experience. Experience in government finance is preferred. Any equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
Normal work hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The Village offers an excellent compensation and benefit package with a salary range of $78,887 - $102,929 annually.
