The eighth annual Illinois Financial Forecast Forum: Private Sector Views that will Impact the Public Sector on January 19, 2018 to discuss pertinent economic and financial issues affecting local governments in Illinois. Join us to explore economic conditions and the pressures each exerts on local government fiscal health and gather information to incorporate in your strategic planning, financial forecasts, budget development, and economic development plans.
Back by popular demand is Rick Mattoon, Senior Economist, Chicago Federal Reserve, who always starts the day off with his Economic and Industry Perspectives. The day also includes Christian Beaudoin, JLL, Ranadip Bose, SB Friedman, and Geoffrey J.D. Hewings, Regional Economics Applications Laboratory, presenting a session on Real Estate Perspectives (commercial office space and housing), Mark F. Hunter, CBRE, and Dick Spinell, Mid America Real Estate,presenting a session on Dynamic Trends in the Current and Future Retail Environment, and a session on Future Trends in Employment, Health and Labor presented by Mike Wojcik, The Horton Group, Sarah McKee, GovHR USA, and Ben Gehrt, Clark Baird Smith.
The closing keynote will be Dr. David Merriman, Stukel Presidential Professor, Department of Public Administration UIC, who will build upon his Fiscal Futures Project.
